The Provincial Agriculture Office, through its Integrated Pest Management Program, assisted the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Region 10 and City Agriculture Office. DA-RCPC moved for the eradication and post-evaluation of coconut leaf beetle scientifically known as the brontispa longissima in areas of Malaybalay City. The leadership of Gov. Jose Ma. R. Zubiri, Jr. is laudable including his full support of the Provincial Veterinary Sanitation Checkpoint (PVSC) operation. The provincial veterinarian, Dr. nancy V Diez, continues steadfastly to implement Provincial Ordinance 97-04, which imposes the sanitation of all incoming persons and domestic animals alike.
