The Coconut Leaf Beetle, Brontispa longissima (Gestro) The Provincial Agriculture Office, through its Integrated Pest Management Program, assisted the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Region 10 and City Agriculture Office. DA-RCPC moved for the eradication and post-evaluation of coconut leaf beetle scientifically known as the brontispa longissima in areas of Malaybalay City. Two Bukidnon LGUs make it to National AwardsMalaybalay City - the Barangay Government of Damilag, Manolo Fortich, was conferred by the National Search and Awards Comittee as the 2nd runner up for the 2006 Lupong Tagapamayapa Incentives and Awards (LTIA) on March 28, 2007 at Jade Valley Cantonese Cuisine REstaurant, 39 Scout Torillo corner Timog Avenue, Quezon City.
