Provincial Livelihood Program

The Provincial Livelihood Program (PLP) has been launched in line with one of the major directions of the present administration, which is the alleviation of poverty in the province of Bukidnon.

The principal feature of the Livelihood Program of the Province of Bukidnon is the provision of financial assistance. An assistance allocation from the Provincial Fund and the President’s Social Fund, have been utilized for this component. Considering the type of beneficiaries, full financial support was extended to fully achieve the objectives of this program.

Since its launching in 2002, the Program has provided financial assistance in the form of loans to qualified borrowers to be used as working capital, for the purchase of equipment and other capital outlay except for the purchase of land.

As of June 2009 , over 40,120 individual borrowers and some 23 cooperatives have been recipients of this assistance.
