Tax Amnesty extended until December 31, 2009 |

Ordinance No. 2009-041R (10th SP) amending Ordinance No. 2007-008R known as the tax amnesty ordinance was recently approved condoning the collection of surcharges and interest imposed upon delinquent real property taxes in the province of Bukidnon until the taxable period ending December 31, 2009.
Governor Zubiri in his letter addressed to the honorable members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan stated that he has recognized the economic crisis in the past few years and people are prioritizing their basic needs instead of paying their obligation to the Provincial Government of Bukidnon for Real Property Taxes. Thus, he proposed for the condonation of the collection of surcharges and interest upon delinquent real property taxes.
The Ordinance was introduced by Hon. Roland F. Deticio, Board Member of second district which made out the noble intention of the governor to help the inhabitants of Bukidnon at this time of difficulties and crises.
